Yvette Delacroix is the young promiscuous secretary of the newly appointed museum president Dr. Archibald Carrington III. Her fashionably high cheekbones, impeccably styled hair, and sultry eyes make you feel mousy and naive by comparison.

Description[]

Yvette has a degree in french from Ball State University. It seems everyone knows Yvette from her old job as a "hostess" for the Harlem Swinger.

Yvette worked for the previous museum president Sterling Waldorf-Carlton who she assumes was murdered by the Countess Lavinia Waldorf-Carlton. Before he died, he expressed his fears to Yvette about the Countess only marrying him for his money and that she might plan to kill him.

She has a love affair with Ernie Leach and Detective Ryan O'Riley.

Years ago, before he was married, Crodfoller T. Rhubarb had spent some time with Yvette. It's also strongly implied that Lawrence "Ziggy" Ziegfeld also knows Yvette and had an affair with her, but she won't admit it; especially in public and when others are listening.

Act II[]

Yvette is first seen at the museum's charity party with Dr. Carrington, Dr. Carter, Rameses Najeer, and Ziggy. She listens to Dr. Carter story about the dagger's discovery before he and the rest of the men have a group chat about Yvette after she wonders off to flirt with O'Riley. She refuses to chat to Ziggy in public, flirts with Dr. Carrington, chats with Mr. Najeer and Dr. Smith about Egyptian etiquette. She then meets with Dr. Olympia Myklos to hear the Countess tell her story about how she met her late husband Sterling on a casino ship offshore for legal drinking and gambling. The Countess also talks about legal problems surrounding Sterling's Will, who was in the process of changing it before he died.

She organizes a one-on-on meeting with Dr. Carter at 8:00 PM in the Egyptian Exhibit. She then has a one-side conversation with Steve Dorian, eager to show him the Old Masters Gallery and the rest of the museum.

Act III[]

Yvette can be seen occasionally wandering the museum, but she is also very busy getting in touch with nearly everyone throughout the evening. She first invites Olympia into her office to show off a chicken bone as a joke before whispering a secret in her ear. She then meets O'Riley to get frisky.

Yvette invites Mr. Najeer to her office, only to tease him with a palm reading and a tattoo of the Eiffel Tower on her leg. She reminds him that it was she who showed him the secret room so he could conduct his "ceremonies."

Yvette has an intimate moment with O'Riley, professes his love to her and declares that he would kill her if he found out she was seeing another man. He also laments about his failed marriages, being surround by crime, and seeing corrupted cops taking bribes. They then share a kiss.

Yvette later spends some time Ernie in his office. The two discuss his gambling debt and how he needs to pay back a loan shark named Icepick, with Big Al's fencing business not earning him enough money. Ernie also alludes that he saw something that he wasn't supposed to, but quickly changes the subject towards Yvette's Eiffel Tower tattoo. They then share an intimate moment.

Sometime after 1:00 AM, Dr. Smith helps Yvette by moving her desk in her office to cover a stain on the rug. He accidentally receives a slight cut trying to move it and apologizes for allowing blood to drip on her carpet. Yvette then reaffirms that his "secret" is kept safe with her.

At 1:45, Yvette once again gets frisky with Ernie. A little before 2:00, she has argument with O'Riley when both sides accuse each other of lying. The secretary claims that Ziggy told her about O'Riley and Dr. Carrington's role in the Dagger of Amon Ra's thievery. The detective fires back by calls her out on various affairs. She denies ever sleeping with Ziggy or Steve.

Act IV[]

Laura visits Yvette in her office, who is seemingly devastated by the murder of Ernie. She suspects that Icepick may have had something to do with his death. At around 2:45 AM She then invites Steve into her office for a "man to cry on." Unable to maintain her moans from Steve's neck massage, the two are caught by Laura, who then storms out in a huff.

Yvette was meant to have a meeting with Wolf Heimlich at the Alcoholic Preservation Lab at 3:00, but neither show up.

At 3:15 AM, Laura smashes a plastered statue to reveal the dead body of Yvette, who was placed in the Old Masters Gallery.

Act VI[]

During the Coroner's Inquest, it was discovered that Detective Ryan O'Riley murdered Yvette Delacroix in her office by strangling her with her pantyhose. O'Riley didn't appreciate the fact that she fooled around with other men and loved Ernie more than him, so he killed her in a jealous rage.
