Rudolph Dijon is the son of Gertrude Dijon, the brother of Gloria Swansong, and the nephew of Colonel Henri Dijon.

Description[]

A handsome man, he's a slick womanizer and gambler. His mother sees him as a man with a mind for business, but it is said that he's never worked an honest day in his life. One can feel an undercurrent of hostility in Rudy; a sense that he should not be crossed.

Others suspect he has his eye on Colonel Dijon's fortune, possibly to pay off his gambling debts.

Game Progression[]

Act I[]

Gloria and Rudy chat in the Billiard Room to discuss the Colonel's money, her plans to end the affair with Clarence in favor of a director, and her concerns over Wilbur keeping her medical problem a secret.

Act II[]

In Rudy and Clarence's Room, Rudy hits on Fifi by forcefully kissing her. She slaps him and goes to her room in a huff. He sits down on the couch and drinks his beverage.

Act III[]

Rudy and Clarence have an argument in their room. Clarence blames him for getting in the way of his relationship with Gloria while Rudy fires back by threatening to beat him if he tries to get back with his sister. Rudy then moves into Fifi's Room, where he attempts to hit on her by forcefully kissing her again. She slaps him and tells him to leave. When he leaves in a huff, he mumbles that she'll regret that.

Act IV[]

Rudy is outside wandering the Estate to clear his head before running into Clarence in the middle of the Pathway in front of the Mansion. They have a fist fight, with Rudy being the victor.

Act V[]

Rudy eats a slice of pie alone in the Dining Room.

Act VI[]

With many things on his mind, Rudy sits on the steps outside of the Study Room while giving Beauregard some pets.

Act VII[]

Growing suspicious, Rudy once again wanders outside the Estate after realizing that other characters are missing.

Act VIII[]

Rudy frantically looks around Laura and Lillian's Room in search for something. Later on, he and the Colonel have a struggle in the attic. If Laura makes it in time, she will have to make a choice to determine the end.

Endings[]

Bad Ending[]

If Laura Bow takes too long to interrupt the struggle with Rudy, or shoots the Colonel, the Colonel will die. In that case, Rudy will narrate to Laura his own view of the events. He claims that the Colonel was the murderer and had intended to kill everyone because he did not want them inheriting his estate. However this does not give the Super Sleuth rank.

Good Ending[]

If Laura Bow shoots Rudy, Colonel Dijon will confess to Laura about Lillian being a murderer and how she had nearly succeeded in killing everybody until she confronted Rudy in the hedge garden with the derringer pistol. Rudy fought with her and killed her in self defense, and then decided (since most of the other heirs to the estate were already dead at this point) to kill off Henri Dijon so that he could inherit the Colonel's fortune. His plan was to use a hypodermic needle from Wilbur C. Feels' medical bag to kill Henri, and then claim that the Colonel died of a heart attack.

Later on Rudy is arrested and taken into custody by the police. Henri gives his will and estate to Celie and his dog and gives a reward to Laura Bow for discovering the Civil War treasure left behind by the Crouton family.
